Matt Larsen was born on May 31, 1976 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital and grew up in Easthampton and Northampton, Massachusetts.

Matt attended Northampton High School with Jamie Bousquet, and earned an Associate Arts Degree in Media at Greenfield Community College as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications in 1999 at Westfield State College.

Matt has a wife named Kristen who is originally from Palmyra, Pennsylvania. Together, they live in and are landlords of a building in Holyoke, Massachusetts which also houses a barbershop, another apartment, and their 3 feline friends, Molly, Miles, and Luddy.

Matt is a musician who has performed in bands called Gemini, Detour, Liquid Chicken, Poppo Smiley, Smokejumpers, Northernly, Those Pesky Starlings, and also solo.

Matt works for Advance Internet, a company based out of Jersey City, NJ,  but he physically performs his tasks from his two-toned (maroon and grey) cubicle in the depths of the MassLive.com office suite in Springfield, MA.

Matt’s wife Kristen also work in the MassLive.com office suite, for MassLive.com. That’s how they met.
